True Costs of Care Released

We need legislators to make responsible decisions – regardless of ideology, the responsible choice in this issue is to keep our RHCs open and  utilize to capacity.

There has been much discussion regarding cost of care for our citizens with disabilities.  There is no question that for our most vulnerable citizens the cost is higher than those whose needs are not so complex and challenging.  What has been at question is where would this care best be provided in order to serve the most people in a cost-effective and safe manner.

The answer lies in this chart – this is one of many documents that reflect the true costs taken directly from DSHS and DDD budget analysis.  The difference is that rather than skewing the figures and making flawed analysis, this is laying it on the line so all can see.

These documents have been researched and verified.  Sources will be posted later today.
